About

Deanna Payne was born in NJ and moved to Raleigh, NC at the age of 2. She earned her BS in Rehabilitation Studies with a minor in sociology from Winston-Salem State University. She then attended Ball State University, where she received her MA in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Deanna began her career in the ABA field in 2015 as part of an internship requirement. After a year, she moved home to work as a BT, later earning her credentials as an RBT. During her masters program, Deanna taught special education in a self contained classroom for 3 years before transitioning back to the ABA field. She enjoys working in the home and community settings teaching daily living, social, and functional communication skills. Some of Deanna's favorite hobbies include fitness, trying new foods, shopping, and spending time with her dog, Hendrixx. A fun fact about her is that her favorite food is chicken wings!
